High school presents accreditation info Wednesday; asks public to fill out survey
By Tanya Canino On 04.04.09
Every six years, the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools must accredit a high school, and Incline High School is in the midst of gathering its information for the process.
“It’s a huge community process,” said Kari Michael, the co-chair of Incline High School’s accreditation process.
Accreditation is an opportunity for Incline High School to define itself and ensure that every stakeholder — from principal to parent, student to staff, neighbor to second homeowner — understands the goals and mission of Incline High School.
There will be a presentation at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 8 , in the Incline High School Little Theater so community members and parents can learn about the accreditation process.
The community and parents are encouraged to fill out the accreditation survey online at Inclinehs.org, or just click the button on the lower left of this web site. Here is the link: http://www.inclinehs.org/Accreditation/Index.htm
Accreditation is a two-year process that began last fall with teachers and staff joining committees, and gathering data and information about the high school’s demographics, programs, student achievement and grades, extracurricular activities, and more, said Michael.
